The Jonathan Oppenheim Photography Experience
The Jonathan Oppenheim Photography Experience
As a child, I was a weak reader with symptoms of dyslexia,
and challenges with comprehension. I’m sure you can
imagine, that led to an overall frustration with reading, and so,
I learned to understand stories through the pictures in
magazines like Life, Nat Geo, Boy’s Life, and Popular
Mechanics. While a scramble of words intended to describe a
global event or how a herd of elephants walked across the
plains of Africa at dusk, a photograph can captivate its
audience through the story of light, composition, and pattern.
This is where my spark for visual art began and this is why I
continue to pursue photography.
